Here is an interior room. I really like the way the rays of light are crossing the far wall, but the shadows of the 'trees' in the back are almost perpendicular.
Hope you guys like it and let me know what you think!
oooh, nice-h! If you squint, it looks realistic it looks a bit cramped with the roof thing in combination with the rail thing by the stair, but the light looks really nice

it is suppose to be a cabinet, but i never got a chance to fix it so that it will look more like it... i just ran out of time for the assignment. thank you!!
this looks good! did you use final gather or GI? i kind of was wondering what was being reflected around the picture frame on the wall, it seems like there shouldnt be much of a reflection from the picture frame to the wall due to the picture frame's low spec. i think if that reflection or bounce light was a bit smaller itd look more dead on. have you thought of using ambient occlusion? that will really add some nice depth and contact shadows for your geometry (if you need help with it let me know :> ! i shows you how). also, the ceiling should probably be getting some bounce light from that wall you've got illuminated (which is VERY well done btw i love it!)
I think the room looks cozy. :3 Now, I have no idea what all goes into this or how Maya works (or what ambient occlusion is), but the reflections off the polished wood and gloss of the ceiling look gorgeous to me. Out the window, it feels a little weird... I think if the tree's shadows were actually perpendicular, I'd feel better about it. When you mentioned them in the description, I didn't really understand what you meant about them. And as an odd side thing, it seems that the glow that is bounced back onto the wall from the window frame isn't in the image in the mirror. Finally, to build off a thing AtaChan said, if the glow coming off the side of the window frame was not quite as bright as the glow off the top, it might be more accurate. But I'm not entirely sure. :S
But overall, it looks gorgeous. Was this an assignment to make gorgeous lighting? In a gorgeous room? Because constantly studying architecture has not yet made me dislike good rooms when I see them. The lighting in this room is aweseomecakes like as if it was in a specially-designed house. And I want it. @_@
